Name – Chijike Dikeogu
Currently Based in Bakersfield, California
I hold a bachelor’s degree in management information systems and boast extensive experience in game development. My expertise spans the entire game development process, from asset creation and importation to working with textures, materials, and utilizing level editors to craft environments. Proficient in incorporating lighting, sound, effects, and post-processing, I am known for my quick adaptation to new tools and methodologies in the dynamic field of game development.
My journey into game development began in elementary school with Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished (1987) and fully ignited during the final year of with the (2004) Games by Nihon Falcom called Trails in the Sky and another game in the same year by Koei called Samurai Warriors. The immersive historical archives catalog showcased in samurai warrior highlighted the potential of serious games, fueling my passion for narrative depth, creativity, and interactive capabilities in games.
Currently a Video Game Developer at Subjective Reality Studios LLC, I lead the implementation of in-game systems, combat encounters, inventory, UI, screenwriting, narrative design, level design, and character AI for PC/Mac projects. Managing a remote team of 14, I oversee tasks and collaboration, utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft Project and HacknPlan.
My diverse professional background includes roles at Apple Inc, where I served as a Biophotonics Test Lab Operator and AppleCare EFFA Hardware Test Engineer. At Apple, I facilitated experiments, developed an Isolated Network database, conducted device testing, communicated with engineers, and managed databases to track the repair/diagnostic process.
Driven by a deep appreciation for storytelling and gaming capabilities, I am committed to translating my passion into impactful contributions to the world of interactive entertainment. My goal is to continue crafting diverse, story-driven, and systemic gaming experiences, inspired by the media that influenced me.
